Visiting Prestongrange
Prestongrange is easy to access by car or public transport. Free parking is available on site.
Access - There is level access to and within the Visitor Centre, Power House and across the site and steps up to and within the Beam Engine House.
Visitor Centre - As well as information and exhibits explaining Prestongrange's past, we offer an area for children and families which includes materials to draw and colour in, books to read and train sets to build!
Refreshments - There is a cafe in the Visitor Centre serving hot drinks, soft drinks and a selection of crisps, sweets and biscuits.
Gift Shop - A selection of toys, a recently updated bookshop and coal sculptures are available to buy in the Visitor Centre.
Tours - Tours do not have to be pre-booked however groups are welcome to telephone or email us to
arrange a visit to the museum.
Schools - We welcome school groups to the museum for curriculum-related visits or end-of-term fun. Look at our Schools Programme or please telephone or email us to find out more about what we offer.
Events - Prestongrange holds a variety of different events through-out the season from exhibition openings to family activity days. Details of events are available on the on the events page and on the East Lothian Museums website.
